Inns are the equivalent of PokéStops in Pokémon Go. They are POIs (Points of Interests) on the map where players can collect Spell Energy (food and drinks) and other items.
Early reports indicate a potential hierarchy scale for Inns. (still being investigated).
One can also find Sponsored Inns in select regions. These can be identified as being somewhat paler (almost white, although some might say eggshell) than regular Inns. In the image below, Sponsored Inns can be identified as #1 and regular Inns, as #2. In the second image, one can also notice that a banner appears under the front side of the Sponsored Inn. Sponsored Inns do not provide any special or additional items, but have a higher Energy ratio.
Reports indicate that select Sponsored Inns turn black when the Sponsors’ store/location is closed, as show on the third image below.
Inns are also used to collect Energy, which in turn is used to cast Spells in sequences involving Traces/Foundables.
