Pokémon Masters: Evolutions Explained

Evolutions in Pokémon Masters, while resembling evolutions from any Pokémon game in some way, actually differ on some very important features. Most importantly, they are a lot more intricate as the developers opted to actually made them fit into the story of the game rather than being simple evolutions. That being said, let’s stick to the actual evolution mechanics in Pokémon Masters.

Why would you want to evolve a Pokémon?

For the permanent increased boost in stats, and the satisfaction of having evolved a Pokémon.

First, one must be aware of the various potential evolutions in Pokémon Masters, which include:

  • Barry and Piplup (evolves into Prinplup and then Empoleon)
  • Kris and Totodile (evolves into Croconaw and then Feraligatr)
  • Lyra and Chikorita (evolves into Bayleef and Meganium)
  • Pryce and Seel (evolves into Dewgong)
  • Rosa and Snivy (evolves into Servine and then Serperior)
  • Viola and Surskit (evolves into Masquerain)

First Stage Evolutions.

  1. Reach level 30 with the required/desired Sync Pair;
  2. Acquire Evolution Shards from Tricia’s Shop (5 for 1,000 Coins);
  3. Successfully complete the Special Battle (This 1 VS 1 battle is somewhat difficult. We therefore suggest to go beyond lvl 30 before considering taking an evolution battle on.);
  4. Complete the evolution.

The cost for Evolution Shards grows exponentially or, in other words, will cost more as you evolve more Pokémon. We therefore recommend evolving the Pokémon you really wish to evolve.

Second Stage Evolutions

  1. Reach level 45 with the required/desired Sync Pair;
  2. Acquire Evolution Stones/Crystals from Tricia’s Shop (5 for 5,000 Coins);
  3. Successfully complete the Special Battle (This 1 VS 1 battle is VERY difficult. We therefore suggest to go beyond lvl 45 before considering taking an evolution battle on.);
  4. Complete the evolution.

Once again, the cost for Evolution Shards grows exponentially or, in other words, will cost more as you evolve more Pokémon, up to 300,000 Coins. We therefore recommend strongly evolving the Pokémon you really wish to evolve.
